Tourism Development Specialist, Tourism Cowichan, 4EVER Strategies Inc.
Kenzie is a community development specialist with over a decade of experience in the tourism and recreation field. Her diverse background includes roles with the Tourism Nanaimo Visitor Centre, Parks Canada, Canucks Autism Network, and Vancouver Island Coastal Tourism Resiliency Program. Kenzie holds a Bachelor's Degree in Tourism Management and brings strong communication, relationship-building, and project management skills to the 4EVER Strategies team.
As a Tourism Development Specialist, she currently leads industry engagement and collaboration with the Tourism Cowichan Society Board of Directors, stakeholders and community partners to support the implementation of marketing initiatives and sustainable tourism development in the Cowichan region. Her passion towards leveraging leisure and tourism for community development was first sparked while conducting research on leisure constraints and access during a World Leisure Organization field school in São Paulo, Brazil.
Grounded in stewardship and community engagement, Kenzie is dedicated to ensuring tourism makes positive contributions to the well-being of Cowichan’s communities, residents, and natural ecosystems. Based in Nanaimo, she enjoys quiet mornings with a cup of coffee, outdoor rock-climbing, and board game nights with friends.
