Tanya is the Tourism Development Specialist with Experience Comox Valley and has a passion for engagement, collaboration, and fostering tourism initiatives that resonate with local community values and bolster the regional economy. Experience Comox Valley is the CVRD’s regional tourism service that encompasses destination marketing, visitor information services, and industry engagement. Tanya leverages her skills in partnership development, strategic thinking, and knowledge of the local area to support annual goals and objectives.

Tanya holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a Geography major from Simon Fraser University and a Certificate of Business Administration from North Island College. Her geography studies ignited a passion for sustainability, environmental education, and protection – principles that inform her approach to tourism development. Grounded in her commitment to collaboration, Tanya is motivated by helping stakeholders achieve their tourism objectives in a way that creates meaningful benefits for the local community and environment.

Based in Comox, she enjoys traveling, reading, going to the movies, and spending time on or near the water in her free time.
